October was a month filled with colors, new experiences, and tons of fun! I’ve been learning a lot in classes and in hands-on experience. This past month we had a class on “heavy equipment” and “tree cutting.” I don’t have enough words to describe the experience and that is why I’ve upload some pictures to the blog.
In the last five years, God has been working in different aspects of my life and the desires of my heart. The desire of going back to Guadalajara is still there and believe me, my heart beats faster every time I think about graduation and going back to my home, family, friends, and church. God has been using camping to impact my life and now God wants me to use camping to impact the lives of others. Last month, I started a paper in which I had to develop a philosophy of ministry and the project of a camp ministry near Guadalajara, Mexico. Last week, I finished the first chapter of my paper and I’m hoping to share it with you very soon.
One of the experiences of this month was our “Camp Tour.” We visited four different camps in Wisconsin. It was very interesting seeing how God has worked and is working through the different ministries. One of the camps that we visited was called “HoneyRock.” It is a camp that belongs to Wheaton College (the same college that my pastor, Rev. Kenton Wood, graduated from a few years ago) God blessed my life by hearing the history of these places and at the same time reaffirmed the desire to start a camp in the coming years.
I hope to hear from you soon. May the LORD bless you all!
