Welcome!

Almost 10 years ago the LORD invited me to serve Him with my life. Today, I am living my dream! I'm serving the LORD in a Christian Camp here in Mexico and I LOVE IT!
Thank you all for your friendship, love, prayers, and encouragement! Thank you all for being part of my dream!

Half way done!

October was a month filled with colors, new experiences, and tons of fun! I’ve been learning a lot in classes and in hands-on experience. This past month we had a class on “heavy equipment” and “tree cutting.” I don’t have enough words to describe the experience and that is why I’ve upload some pictures to the blog.

In the last five years, God has been working in different aspects of my life and the desires of my heart. The desire of going back to Guadalajara is still there and believe me, my heart beats faster every time I think about graduation and going back to my home, family, friends, and church. God has been using camping to impact my life and now God wants me to use camping to impact the lives of others. Last month, I started a paper in which I had to develop a philosophy of ministry and the project of a camp ministry near Guadalajara, Mexico. Last week, I finished the first chapter of my paper and I’m hoping to share it with you very soon.

One of the experiences of this month was our “Camp Tour.” We visited four different camps in Wisconsin. It was very interesting seeing how God has worked and is working through the different ministries. One of the camps that we visited was called “HoneyRock.” It is a camp that belongs to Wheaton College (the same college that my pastor, Rev. Kenton Wood, graduated from a few years ago) God blessed my life by hearing the history of these places and at the same time reaffirmed the desire to start a camp in the coming years.

I hope to hear from you soon. May the LORD bless you all!

Another month

September is gone! The fall is doing what it is supposed to do once again. The leaves are changing colors and falling everyday more and more. One of my responsibilities is to rake once a week… and guess what? It seems like an unending task! By the time that we finish raking our designated area, it’s already covered with leaves!
With the fall, things change a little here at camp. During the week, I spend a lot of time in the classroom. Most weekends, we have rental groups and we are scheduled all over the place. I am learning a lot and I can’t wait to put it into practice down in Guadalajara.
I am very excited to be in the LTD program and every day is one day closer to going home for good. Time goes by very fast. We are almost 6 months into the program. Lord willing I will be back to Guadalajara next May. I want to invite you to keep praying that God will continue working in my life and keep on teaching me more of His character. Thanks for your time and God bless!
